You know what was really heartbreaking? Jen had booked her birthday shoot since last October. One week before the shoot was supposed to take place, NY State went on lockdown. Long story short, I moved her shoot up a few days and photographed her in the Bridgeport studio instead of the Queens studio. Yay!

Jen & I went to high school and did JROTC together. I'll never forget how she comforted me after I bombed my senior speech. I walked to Major's classroom and couldn't go in because I was crying. She gave me a hug and told me it would be ok. That was the first time anyone had ever done anything like that for me, and it really left an impression on me. I'm not even sure she remembers that haha. But that is just one of the many reasons why I tried so hard to make this photo shoot happen. Jen's 30th Birthday ShootPink & Black theme birthday shoot in Bridgeport, CT Turning 30 years old is a big deal. It's even bigger of a deal when you're turning 30 in the middle of a pandemic. She can't have friends over for a party. She can't go out to eat at a fancy restaurant. It sucks, I imagine. I am just so happy that she has these beautiful images to look back on.

And for her actual birthday, which is today, she can go to work and then go home and do as she pleases!
