I couldn't think of a nicer way to celebrate MLK Jr. Day than to photograph a beautiful black woman! So Stephanie braved the railways (and an Uber) to meet us at the studio in Flushing, Queens. She has a very jovial spirit and an infectious laugh. And I love her hair :)

Stephanie told me she was a Converse girl, and she happily changed out of her heels and into some Chucks. The light spilled into the studio and I embraced it.
