Kaydian and I used to go to the same church. I got two e-mails from her about two different sessions, one of which was this headshot branding session. She is a licensed therapist and is starting her own practice. These photos are going to look soooo nice on her new website!
I'm no stranger to therapy. I don't know how I would have made it through this pandemic without my therapists. I think it's a wonderful career, and it takes a kind, caring person like Kaydian to take on other people's issues to help them sort through them.
"I decided to become a therapist because I realized it gave me joy seeing other people overcome, succeed, get through, heal, or even understand who they are as a person and how to best manage their own mental health. I used to enjoy as a kid the company of my grandmother and as I look back at it; what I realized I enjoyed about that experience was the space my grandmother gave me to be myself--vulnerable, curious, and always yearning to hear her wisdom and knowledge about what life had taught her, both good and bad. I believe life is full of lessons and we are all being guided along the way. Therapy--with the help of someone who is non-judgmental, caring, and compassionate, and encouraging--can help you get to that inward healing."
"When working with me, you will be in a space that is safe, professional, non-judgmental, compassionate, and encouraging. You will see with 10+ years of being a therapist I have the knowledge and skills to get you to a place of clarity, peace, empowerment, and better understanding of who you are, where your coming from, and how to navigate your mental health/life stressors going forward."
"My passions are helping others, uplifting others and encouraging others. I’ve always had an empathetic heart. I believe I was born with an empathetic heart. The ability to put myself in ones shoes without even thinking twice. Being in the field of social work/ being a therapist have given me numerous opportunities and I can say it has been a privilege to work with people at their lowest and give them a glimmer of hope. I now use my passions, knowledge, my self, and years of being in the field to help others heal, restore, and overcome. I always tell the clients I work with that’s it’s never to late to want better and to do better, because they deserve it."
I feel you, Kaydian. I have become even more empathetic after having children. I hurt so much for others and I cry when I watch random videos on the internet. So I see a little bit of you in me. Maybe that's why people ask me for advice so much! :)
All the best with your endeavors, madam!
