Obelle texted me the day before the original date of her shoot and said, "I don't like snow..." Haha! We ended up having a blizzard that day, so rescheduling was definitely a good call.

So we actually did her birthday shoot at the same time that we had a Pop Up Shop event going on on the other side of the studio. I was nervous that Obelle wouldn't like the music and chatter, but it turns out that she was jamming to the music while getting her make up done. Then she came out, all dolled up, and her energy was the exact level I needed it to be! I'm so grateful for clients like Obelle. I find that clients who are a little more mature in age are also more mature in their confidence. They're not shy. They know they're beautiful. And even if I have to direct them, they end up nailing every pose. I love it so much!!
