Eliana's mother wanted something very simple. Just a white backdrop with a cute Elmo dress. I said, "No way!" And I got this Sesame Street themed backdrop that came just in time for the shoot. When I did her first birthday shoot last year, Eliana looked just like her Daddy. Just one year later, I can see Mommy Nessa's face coming through. Genetics is a funny thing. The crazy thing about photographing little children is being able to catch them quickly. You have to anticipate their next move (kind of like when you're shooting a wedding) or else you could miss something so precious. Eliana was on her belly for literally .2 seconds and just so happened to snap as her little foot kicked up. You can tell I'm not lying because if you look closely, her foot is very clearly in motion. I didn't come to the shoot with any expectations, but Eliana far surpassed whatever they would have been haha. Great job, cutie pie!
